Museums

Centuries of exploration, travel, commerce, and recreation on Wisconsin's Great Lakes, inland lakes and rivers, have all contributed to the state's fascinating maritime history. Consequently, Wisconsin has a selection of excellent museums featuring maritime themes. To the right is a photo from the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, located in Manitowoc, which maintains the WII submarine USS Cobia.
